The business components coming from Up ! Virtual Business Machine banks are integrated through a micro Enterprise Application Interface (EAI) inside Up ! Application System.
The business components coming from the embedding of the existing are integrated through a macro Enterprise Application Interface (EAI) outside Up ! Application System that is based on:
- For service calls.
C++, Corba, Com, Java or private APIs of vertical software such as SAP's ALE / RFC.
- For data interchanges.
Edifact, structured files, Xml or private formats of vertical software such as SAP's IDoc.
Each interface of a business component coming either from a bank of Up ! Virtual Business Machine or the embedding of the existing can be thus exposed according to these technical standards to plan the logical organization of the information system.
